We are the makers of the Original Wood Pellet Patio Heater. Our small, family run business is based out of Oregon. We believe in the power of quality craftsmanship and the joy of bringing people together.
Where It All Started
Our story begins in an old barn where hard work and ingenuity were a way of life. In 2010, in a space where generations before us had turned ideas into reality, we built the very first prototype of what would become the original Wood Pellet Patio Heater. At the time, there was nothing else on the market quite like it.
That first prototype wasn’t perfect, but it worked. And when our neighbor down the road saw it in action, he bought it. That single sale did more than fund our next few builds — it gave us the confidence to believe we were onto something special.
Like most good ideas, it caught on naturally — shared in conversations, recommended to friends, and experienced in person.
From those early days in the barn, Timber Stoves grew into a trusted name built on craftsmanship, resilience, and honest hard work.
Our Greatest Trial
We have had our share of ups and downs like most small businesses do. In October of 2021, we lost our entire business. A neighboring building caught fire and quickly spread to ours. It was a total loss. With no insurance payout we had two options, give up or fight with everything we had to keep going. We are proud to say within 8 weeks of the fire, we were back in production.
It was not an easy road and we still feel the weight of that setback, but it became a defining turning point in our story, strengthening our resolve and shaping the future of Timber Stoves in ways we never expected.
Where We Are Now
Although our products and business have evolved tremendously, we are still a small family business operating under the same perseverance that has carried us through the years. Today, you will find our small team crafting heaters by hand in Mt. Angel, OR. Every heater that leaves our shop is built with intention and finished by people who take pride in doing things the right way. Quality craftsmanship isn’t just a standard for us; it’s a responsibility.
But more than steel and fire, what we’re really building is connection. Our heaters are designed to bring people together — to create a space where conversations linger, stories are shared, and memories are made long after the sun goes down. At the end of the day, Timber Stoves is not just about heat — it’s about bringing warmth to the people who matter most.
